Living in Greece, Chris Asteriou is one of the few makers from that country who is expanding beyond its borders. Aesthetically speaking, his work is a marvel of detail. His formal training in industrial design and architecture taught him critical thinking, attention to detail and an eye for overall quality.

Starting as a self-taught pipe maker, Chris' inspiration is derived from old English classic shapes, and drawing influence from the Danish and Japanese schools when applied to line and symmetry. Functionality, proportion, and craftsmanship are all important qualities if one wishes to become successful, and Chris Asteriou takes notice. Handcut stems, complete with turned tenons instead of delrin ones, show his appreciation of old-style pipe making.
