The W.Ø. Larsen shop was at the center of the Danish pipe revolution, serving as a retailing for legendary Danish makers like Sixteen Ivarsson and Poul Rasmussen. In time, the shop added a workshop, through which passed many celebrated Danish makers, including Hans 'Former' Nielsen, Teddy Knudsen, and Tonni Nielsen. Pipes from this era are particularly well-regarded by collectors
Today, the name survives as a factory brand that remains associated with quality pipes, even if they do not attain to the heights produced in previous eras.
