A private label that contracted its carving out to such companies as Charatan, James Upshall, Dunhill, L&JS (Ferndown), and Bill Taylor of Ashton pipes, Astley's was itself a tobacconist located on the renowned Jermyn Street in St. James, notable for upscale gentlemen's outfitters and other stores that included Charatan's own store, Alfred Dunhill's shopfront, and Davidoff cigars.
