The second limited release celebrating 125 years of Charles Peterson’s final patent for his innovative System pipe is here: the 125th Anniversary Deluxe System Rua. These limited-edition pipes are available across a range of iconic System models and are dressed first in Peterson’s Rua finish — a russet red contrast stained sandblast with striations of black highlighting both ring grain and blasted bird's eye alike — and then the dress Ebony finish. Stamped “1898-2023” and individually serialised out of 200 for the Rua and 150 for the Ebony, they’re further elevated by the Deluxe System's characteristic sterling silver mounts, select-grade briar, "chimney" style condensers, and wear-gapped stems — a Peterson innovation that leaves space between the mount and stem base that will gradually decrease with prolonged use.
